“Solace” Polish Hill River Riesling 2026

Very pale green.

Subtle aromas of lime, pink grapefruit and a hint of fennel overlay some stony/slatey
characters that this vineyard delivers each year. It takes a little while in the glass for this
quite introverted wine to show its best, but it is worth waiting for.

The palate is crisp and fresh with layers of the citrus fruits mentioned prior adding some
flesh to the stony/flinty palate. Finishes crisp and dry.

This little block continues to deliver top quality fruit year upon year. I love the way the fruit
is slowly revealed as it unwraps itself from around the spine of bright mineral acidity. A
lovely drink now but will repay those can keep it for 7-10 years. So good.
